Next Monday, March 20th, 2017, at 9 pm, in Espacio Santa Clara will be the delivery of Giraldillos of the XIX Biennial of Flamenco.
On October 17th, the committee of the Biennial of Flamenco in its 2016 edition, with the presence of the delegate of Culture of the City of Seville, Antonio Muñoz, met in the headquarters of the Biennial for the recognition of the following artists:
Giraldillo to the cante: Marina Heredia.
Giraldillo to the dance: Rocío Molina.
Giraldillo to the guitar playing: Vicente Amigo.
Giraldillo to the Best Show: “Catedral” by Patricia Guerrero.
Giraldillo to Innovation: “Dialogues of old and new sounds” by Fahmi Alqhai and Rocío Márquez.
Giraldillo Revelation: María Terremoto.
Giraldillo “City of Seville”: “Bailando una vida”.
Giraldillo to the jury proposal: To the corps de ballet of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía.
Giraldillo to the Magic Moment: José Valencia, for the evocation of the maestro Juan Peña “El Lebrijano”, in the show “De Sevilla a Cádiz“.
The event will feature the performance of José de la Tomasa, who remembers his performance from one of the towers of the Alcázar of Seville in the opening of the Biennial, will sing “Toná de la Bienal”. The 20th Flamenco Biennial will take place in 2018.
