Flamenco Biennale Netherlands celebrates its sixth edition

It will take place between 13 and 29 January in eight cities and has a new selection of young creators who show once again the new advances of flamenco.

The Flamenco Biennale of the Netherlands presents the most recent projects of creators who conform The international avant-garde of flamenco and includes a wide range of singing, dancing and guitar performances in connection with jazz, dance and contemporary baroque and oriental music. On this occasion, the festival will take place between 13 and 29 January in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, Maastricht, Eindhoven, Amersfoort and travels for the first time to Belgium, Amberes.

The VI edition of the festival has great stars and new talents. A new batch of young and emerging artists will show, together with the veterans, the latest advances and constant changes in flamenco art.

With great coincidences with the programming of the Seville Biennial of Flamenco, this edition of the Biennial of the Netherlands has Rocío Molina, Isabel Bayón, Manuel Liñán, Rocío Márquez, Leonor Leal, José Valencia, Antonio Canales, Mercedes Ruiz, David And Alfredo Lagos, Orchestra Chekara, Pepe Habichuela, José Enrique Morente, Sara Cano, Enrike Solinís and Euskal Barrokensensemble, among others.

There will be more than forty dance performances and concerts complemented by an extensive program of master classes, workshops, conferences, films and documentaries, flamenco convivences, children’s shows and parties.
