Niño de Elche ANTOLOGÍA DEL CANTE HETERODOXO Sep. Tue 25 | 20:30 | De 10,00€ a 30,00€ | BUY

The new project of NIÑO DE ELCHE – directed by the artist Pedro G. Romero and produced by Raül Fernández “Refree” – surprises under the name of Antología del Cante Flamenco Heterodoxo. Composed of 27 pieces, this anthology gathers the flamenco influences of the cantaor reinvented in sound puzzles such as “El tango de la Menegilda”, “Las seguiriyas del Syllogismo” or “Aguaespejo from Granada”. Among its influences is the experimental imaginary of Val del Omar, the conceptuality of Valcárcel Medina, the subversion of Eugenio Noel or the scratched nationalism of Manuel de Falla, which coexist with versions of contemporary composers such as Crumb, Shostakovich, Luigi Nono, Tim Buckley or Mikel Laboa and personal creations on texts by Antonio Machado, Juli Vallmitjana, Lafargue, Giménez Caballero or San Juan de la Cruz.
For the creation of Anthology of heterodox flamenco cante CHILD OF ELCHE has had exceptional collaborators such as bailaor Israel Galván, guitarists Diego de Morón and “Pájaro”, organist Juan de la Rubia or pianist Alejandro Rojas-Marcos. In this new journey he will be accompanied live by Raúl Cantizano with guitars (flamenco and acoustic) and percussion, and Susana Hernández (Ylia) with keyboards, synthesizers and electronics.
With the baggage behind his back of a published book and numerous collaborative projects with other creators, CHILD OF ELCHE reaffirms itself as a creative revolution with undoubted political load and that knows limits as an artist.
