The 18th edition of la Bienal de Flamenco starts on September 12th and ends on October 5th, with 67 shows scheduled during 24 days, hosted by 8 different venues across the city, and features more than 500 artists around the Festival.
Under the direction of Cristóbal Ortega, this 2014 edition serves as a tribute to Paco de Lucía, under the claim of “Fuente y Caudal”, and features a poster image created by Rafael Canogar. Its Opening tributes Enrique Morente and the final show comes from El Lebrijano. Highlights would be the 21 world premieres and two more Spanish premieres, and of course the presence of renowned artists such as María Pagés, Tomatito, Merche Esmeralda, Rafael Riqueni, Pastora Galván, Farruquito or Paco Cepero, amongst many others.
More than 100.000 aficionados, with more than 7.000 of them visiting the Paco de Lucía exhibition, enjoy the diverse activities scheduled on the Official Programme, the Parallel Activities or the street programme, hosted by iconic spots around the city during more than three weeks.
