The IV Bienal dedicates its 23 days to explore the diverse styles and different geographies of the cante with top artists such like Camarón, José Menese, Naranjito de Triana, Fosforito, Chiquetete, El Lebrijano, Manuel Mairena or the Montoya family, with Lole y Manuel being in their artistic plenitude. Chocolate wins the II Giraldillo del Cante.

The flamenco guitar is represented by the best artists of that time: Manolo Sanlúcar, Paco de Lucía and Sabicas. Great bailaores and bailaoras are also present, from masters Rosita Durán and Fernanda Romero to key figures such like Mario Maya, El Güito or Matilde Coral.

Also, this edition draws massive attention to la Bienal, with the media finally realizing the size and importance of the Festival. The poster is created by Emilio Sáenz.
