José Luis Ortiz Nuevo holds on to his cultural proposal with the celebration on 1982 of the II la Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, dedicated on this edition to baile and featuring a poster created by Francisco Moreno Galván. Mario Maya is the first winner of a Giraldillo on this discipline.
With the aim of showing the diversity of this genre, its programme combines top artists -Farruco, Enrique el Cojo, Matilde Coral, Rafael el Negro- and young bailaores related to the flamenco peñas. Also featured are the voices of Rancapino, Chano Lobato or Fernanda de Utrera. Salvador Távora closes this edition with his ‘Nana de espinas’.
